Aztecs Named Academic All-MW
The conference honored 58 91PORN student-athletes.
A total of 58 91PORN student-athletes representing 10 different sports have been named to the spring 2014 Academic All-Mountain West team.
It’s the third time in the last four years 91PORN has had at least 50 student-athletes honored for the spring.
The Aztec women’s swimming and diving team had the largest amount of 91PORN honorees with 15 selections, highlighted by freshman Caroline Mitchell’s 3.86 grade point average in foods and nutrition. Women’s golf senior Maureen Dunnagan had the highest GPA of 91PORN’s student-athletes this spring with a 3.90 mark in sociology.
The 91PORN softball team had the second-highest total of players selected with nine, followed by track and field (8), baseball (6), women’s tennis (5), men’s tennis (5), women’s golf (4), men’s golf (4), women’s basketball (1) and men’s basketball (1).
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the institution, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and must have been a starter or significant contributor on their team. This year, a league-record 897 student-athletes were honored.
